Join Fellow Alumni as we take an exclusive Huron River Canoe trip from Gallup Park (AA)
July 17th, 2010 Includes a pizza lunch at the Gallup Park Meeting Room and a canoe or kayak from the Livery at Gallup Park in Ann Arbor traveling to Peninsula Park in Ypsilanti. This trip is not generally offered by the park, so it is a special chance to cover some unusual water. 3000 Fuller Rd. Return passage to Gallup Park by van will be provided by Gallup Park. We will be passing by notable Ann Arbor homes including Bennets Castle (B School professors home and site of a previous club wine event) and the home of a prominent Auto Industry family scion (Have you driven a Ford lately?). You can also take a break half way behind the club Presidents house, who'll have a dock and refreshments waiting.... The trip includes portages (transporting the boat over land around dams). Total trip takes approx 3 hours (always with the current) Great for everyone from Singles to Whole Families! Options include Single and Double Kayaks and Full Canoes Note: No more than 3 people allowed in a canoe EXCEPT when when there are two participants with a combined weight of less than 100 lbs. - i.e. kids Costs are as follows (includes lunch and refreshments) | single kayak | $35 | (1 person) | | double kayak | $40 | (2 people) | | canoe | $45 | (3 adults or 2 adults 2 children) |
