Date: Thursday, June 24th, 6:30-8:00pm Location: Butzel Long Conference Center 41000 Woodward Avenue, Bloomfield Hills, MI Price: $15 - sandwiches and light refreshments will be served Mike DiGiovanni was appointed General Motors Corporation’s executive director for Global Market and Industry Analysis in November 2007. In this capacity he has been responsible for the company’s worldwide vehicle forecasting, and economic and industry analysis. His activities also included serving as one of the company’s key strategists and primary spokesperson on industry and market conditions. Prior to that, DiGiovanni held several positions at GM: executive director of Product, Portfolio and Brand Strategy (September 2004 – September 2007); general manager of Hummer (October 1999 – September 2004); executive director of General Motors’ Business Decision Support Center (October 1996 – October 1999), among others, since joining General Motors as a senior economist in April 1979. Before joining GM, DiGiovanni was chief of the Economics Section of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in Detroit from 1973 until 1979. A native of Detroit, DiGiovanni was born on March 1, 1948. He received a Bachelor's and a Master's Degree in Mathematical Economics from the University of Detroit in 1970 and 1972, respectively.
